Jim Blair was promoted to senior vice president of General Casualty’s claims department recently, replacing Don Suominen who retired in March.
Blair has more than 30 years of claims experience and has been with General Casualty for 25 years. He’s been an assistant vice president since 1991, overseeing the Company’s claims operations since 2002.
“Jim represents the right balance between an appreciation of where General Casualty has come from and an understanding of where we need to go,” said Pete McPartland, president and CEO of General Casualty.
Blair holds several professional designations, including Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Reinsurance. He belongs to the CPCU’s Dairyland and national chapters. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, Blair is active on the Monona Grove school board’s business services committee.
