12/12/2005: General Casualty introduces nonstandard auto policy in Georgia

General Casualty Insurance Companies announces the introduction of a nonstandard auto program in Georgia. The new product line, Generations®, will be introduced Dec. 15 and provides agents another insurance choice for customers who may have some blemishes on their driving records.

“Agents can use Generations to retain insureds throughout their lifecycle or if they’ve had a bad driving year, without moving them to a different company or risk losing them to another agency,” said Mike Roberts, Southern Region personal lines manager. “We’re a full-service company, and Generations is another reason to place auto business with General Casualty.”

Generations is targeted toward current General Casualty policyholders who are no longer eligible for existing programs or for agency customers who are in other nonstandard programs. The program is priced competitively for policyholders with prior insurance, home ownership, multiple vehicles, and newer vehicles requiring physical damage coverage.

The product offers standard coverages with a variety of limit options, including 250/500 split limit bodily injury; $100,000 property damage; 250/500 split limit uninsured and underinsured motorists; and $500,000 single limit coverage. Discounts are available for policyholders who are age 50 or older, insure both their home and auto with General Casualty, drive vehicles with anti-lock braking systems, and more.

“We have designed Generations to be a seamless transition from our other auto programs, so agents will find it easy to move business from one program to another,” Roberts said. In addition, the same General Casualty underwriters who have already established relationships with agents will review the policies, and the same General Casualty claims personnel will provide claims service.

Agents receive a 10 percent commission on Generations policies.
