General Casualty recently promoted Ken Anderson and Dan Kovac and hired Charles Valinotti at its Sun Prairie headquarters. The company also promoted Joe Puterbaugh at its Indianapolis office.
Joe Puterbaugh was promoted to regional vice president of General Casualty’s Great Lakes Region, comprised of Indiana, Ohio and Michigan. Puterbaugh will oversee operations for the region, based in the Indianapolis regional office.
He joined General Casualty in 1998 as commercial lines manager in the Freeport, Ill., branch office. He has been in the industry since 1977, primarily in commercial lines and managerial positions. Puterbaugh is a native of Lafayette, Ind., and a graduate of Purdue University. He has earned Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Research and Planning (ARP) designations.
Ken Anderson was promoted to assistant vice president of commercial casualty lines at the company’s headquarters in Sun Prairie. He has 21 years of industry experience. Ken joined General Casualty in 1990 and has held several positions in rate and product development.
Ken is a graduate of Illinois State University and has earned a CPCU designation.
Dan Kovac was promoted to assistant vice president for personal property at the company’s home office. He started with General Casualty in 2001 as personal lines business manager and has worked in the industry since graduating from Valparaiso University in Indiana in 1990.
Kovac has earned CPCU and Associate in Research and Planning (ARP) designations.
Charles Valinotti joined General Casualty as assistant vice president for personal auto at the company’s home office. Valinotti has 10 years of experience in the insurance industry.
He is a graduate of Queens College and Farmington University in New York. Valinotti is also a member of the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America’s (PCI) Personal Automobile Insurance Committee.
