General Casualty employees James Kiser, Kurt Knauff and Terry Meyer were recently named Outstanding Charter Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU)/Insurance Institute of America (IIA) course leaders by the American Institute for CPCU and the IIA. The award is based on the number of times the instructor’s class pass ratios have equaled or exceeded national pass ratios.
Each of the course leaders has more than 10 years of experience instructing. Kiser (15 years), Knauff (12 years) and Meyer (18 years) teach courses that help General Casualty employees obtain their professional certification in general insurance. Kiser has also taught courses helping employees earn Associate in Underwriting (AU) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM) certifications.
Kiser serves as a commercial lines agency underwriting specialist at General Casualty’s Freeport office. A 20-year employee at General Casualty, he earned ARM, CPCU and AU designations.
Knauff has been employed with General Casualty for 17 years. He received ARM, CPCU, AU and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designations. Knauff currently manages General Casualty’s agents education program.
A personal lines territory underwriter, Meyer has been with the company for 32 years and also earned AU certification.
