Pam Edwards, Southern Guaranty claims service assistant, was awarded the American Association of Managing General Agents Association (AAMGA) Achievement Award at the Alabama State Council of National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW) state convention on Oct. 2 in Mobile, Ala.
Edwards received the award for her dedicated service to the Alabama State Council of NAIW. The AAMGA recognized her for being a leader who exemplifies outstanding qualities and performance in the insurance industry. An officer on both the local and state councils, she serves as the recording secretary for her NAIW local council, the Insurance Women of Montgomery, and membership development chairperson for the NAIW state council. She was one of seven local council members nominated for the award.
In October 2002 she earned the Alabama Independent Insurance Agents Education First award, recognizing her for “outstanding efforts in the education of the Alabama Insurance Women’s Association, the Alabama insurance industry and community.” She has also been named Insurance Woman of the Year (2002-03), Claims Professional of the Year (2001-02, 2004-05) and Rookie of the Year (2000) by the Insurance Women of Montgomery.
Edwards has worked for Southern Guaranty for eight years, earning Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW) designations.
