Today 20 first-grade students from Royal Oaks Elementary School visited General Casualty Insurance Companies to finish their year in the Adopt-A-Class program. This is one of three classes adopted by General Casualty employees during the school year, all of which recently visited the company's headquarters.
Co-sponsored by the Sun Prairie Business and Education Partnership, the program serves to help students make a connection between the school and the business community. "Through joint projects developed by their teachers and General Casualty volunteers, the students learned about insurance and community involvement," said Hollie Bowker, General Casualty's corporate relations manager.
During their field trips students toured the facility, one class drew posters for the company's on-site library, and each visit included a pizza lunch.
