- Contact emergency services. Be sure to get a copy of the police report if one is filed.
- Contact your independent agent as soon as possible. If you can’t reach your agent, contact General Casualty directly through ClaimLine24.
- Your agent will tell you about loss coverage and what information to provide to General Casualty. A “proof of claim” form and police report are commonly requested.
- Fill out necessary forms. Keep careful records of information related to your claim such as receipts, copies of bills, names and notes about conversations with involved parties (police officers, witnesses and owners of the vehicles or property).
- Submit the necessary paperwork for the claim to General Casualty as soon as possible. The sooner we receive your claim, the sooner we can hand you your claim check!
